This is true. A student at Rutgers University in New Jersey, was electrocuted at the Alpha Sigma Phi (off-campus) frat house. According to Fox News, "a 19-year-old Rutgers University student was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being electrically shocked inside an off-campus Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity house during an alleged hazing incident". A popular New Jersey Newspaper Nj.com, claims that the frat house "has faced serious safety violations since at least 2014" and now it has been shut down after this incident. It has not been confirmed if this incident had any relation to hazing, but it is confirmed that a student was indeed electrocuted at the frat house.

This is true, though the phrasing is not necessarily the correct way of saying it.  At Rutgers University, a student was in critical condition in a hazing incident involving electricity that has severely burned and was found unresponsive when ambulance arrived. Due to the severity of the incident, all those involved will be permanently expelled. The frat is also closed now.
