Last year in the final weeks of Bidens term, the US received information that Israeli solider were using Palestinians as human shields during conflict. Of course, any usage of human shields in war is illegal internationally. The information suggested that Israeli soldiers were sending Palestinian citizens through tunnels lined with explosives. This wasn’t the first time this issue had been discussed regarding Israeli soldiers, as the US already had evidence and claims that they were using human lives to save their own. As well as that these actions were orders being given by higher ranking military members.
The source of the information did not specify if the Palestinians in question were civilians or prisoners, and has requested anonymity. In a statement however, the Israel Defense Forces denied the claims saying they are against the act and act in accordance to international law. This is the one of many war crimes the Biden Administration had gathered information for against Israel. Is Israel is found guilty of these crimes, the US could be held liable as well.
