Claim: Zendaya and Tom Holland are Engaged

Question

I first saw this claim on a TikTok video. I haven't seen any proof that they are actually engaged, but I've seen the claim be made so many times on social media now.

Zendaya and Tom Holland seem to be a very private couple when it comes to their relationship, so I doubt there will not be any clear evidence of their engagement until they decide to reveal it themselves.

Unfortunately there hasn't been any confirmation from any reliable source of an engagement between the two successful actors. Even Zendaya's mom made a comment on her social media about clickbait and the harmful nature surrounding it which probably means that the rumors are not true. Tom and Zendaya have a very private relationship; neither has explicitly come out to the media and reported an engagement. The rumor began because of a pop-centered media Twitter account, and Zendaya's mom responded to the rumors and denied them.

Who got their source from Zendaya's mom's intstagram where she posted a definition of "clickbait," which is what that twitter account was doing posting about them being engaged.

Therefore, no they are not engaged.

There has been no confirmation of an engagement. They're relationship went public in 2021 and they are still together til this day. Zendaya's mother implied on Instagram that the engagement rumors were fake. Tom even once stated how he prefers to keep his private life private. A source from US Weekly supposedly said, "They seem serious and permanent. They're both in settling-down mode and are absolutely planning for a real future together." This means that they are not engaged yet, but it could happen real soon in the near future.

Since it's now 2025, I think there has been enough time to determine if Tom Holland and Zendaya are engaged. With recent news coming out, it might be safe to say that they are finally engaged. At the 2025 Golden Globes, Zendaya was spotted wearing an engagement ring. Fan accounts on Twitter (X) found a clip of Tom Holland referring to Zendaya as his "fiance". It can still be difficult to tell since they are a private couple. People Magazine also have a couple of articles relating to the topic and how Tom Holland's dad gives details on the engagement. He said, "He had purchased the ring. He had spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter. Tom had everything planned out... When, where, how, what to say, what to wear."

After conducting additional research on this claim, I found it to be true. It was speculated that the Spiderman star- Tom Holland, and Actress Zendaya were engaged first at the Golden Globes earlier this year (January). Zendaya was pictured wearing a burnt orange gown and a diamond ring on her ring finger. The true confirmation of the engagement came from a news reporter from one of Holland's panels in the last couple months. People.com reported on September 30th,  “ In the clip circulating on X, the off-camera reporter can be heard saying, “I brought my daughter and she got to meet your girlfriend.” Tom laughs and replies, “Fiancée.”  Shortly after Holland made his first public comment confirming the engagement, his father- Dominic Holland - further confirmed the engagement in a Patreon post. Dominic included few details regarding the process.

Dating rumors began to spread during their press tour, but both stars publicly denied the rumors and insisted that they were just friends. In 2020, they were photographed romantically together, seemingly confirming the rumors. Finally, in 2021, they went public with their relationship after a photograph of them kissing was posted online. Now, in 2025–2026, they have announced their engagement and have reportedly gotten married. When two co-stars work together on one of the greatest movie series to exist, it is natural for them to develop chemistry. I feel like Zendaya and Tom Holland built that connection over the years. They eventually fell for each other romantically, just as their characters, Peter Parker and MJ, fell for each other in the movies.

Tom and Zendaya have a very private, closed-off relationship. Even though they have been seen together at red carpets, the London premiere, and a photo call in Spain, they still try to keep most of their relationship away from the public. Overall, after doing my research and being a huge Spider-Man fan, the claim " Zendaya and Tom Holland are engaged" is true. Diving deeper into this, I learned that they like to keep their relationship and personal lives private. Reports and evidence have also confirmed their marriage after spotting a ring on her ring finger.
