The claim that the water that Donald Trump donated to East Palestine residents is 13 years old is heavily misleading and without clear evidence.

I found that the basis of the claim is based upon a brand of water that Trump owned called Trump Ice which was discontinued in the year 2010 for commercial purchase. Many individuals are claiming that the water donated is Trump Ice which would make it at the very least 13 years old.

However, there is a discrepancy in that claim. The labels for Trump Ice and the water provided to Ohio are completely different, meaning that it is possible that they are two different forms of water.

Based on information I found on Reuters, it seems as though Trump actually had discontinued Trump Ice and then rebranded it as Trump Natural Spring Water for use in his businesses such as Trump Tower. A video by Plainrock124 made in the year 2019 features a bottle of such water with the same label as the ones in Ohio, meaning that it is possible that Trump Natural Spring Water is being actively produced and the ones donated are indeed fresh.

An article by Newsweek examines these claims and explains the difference between the two forms of the water, stating, "As of 2018, Trump Water was no longer available in stores and is served at the former president's hotels, restaurants, and golf clubs, according to an archived webpage. Images from Trump's visit to East Palestine show the pallets of water delivered were as Trump Spring Water - the same water available in his hospitality destinations, not Trump Ice."

Until clear statements are made by Trump and his organization with clear documentation of the dates of the bottles or other evidence proving some sort of relabeling or reuse of Trump Ice, I believe that this claim is most likely false.
