This claim is correct based on what Dentistry.co states about how the human race is evolving at a faster rate than it ever has before and "It reveals that babies have shorter faces – leading to smaller mouths and less room for teeth to grow". The article explains the reasoning behind why babies are being born without wisdom teeth now more than before. This claim is not misinformation and is backed up by the credible source of Dentistry.co.

This claim is correct. According to Dentistry CPD, humans are evolving at a rate faster than ever before. There are many articles that came up while researching this, about how humans do not need wisdom teeth! This is part of the point Dentistry CPD is making in that this is an evolutionary process. Alongside this, studies show that babies are also being born with extra bones in their feet and legs. This is true. "According to a new study in the Journal of Anatomy, the human race is evolving at a rate faster than it has done at any interval in the last 250 years.

It reveals that babies have shorter faces – leading to smaller mouths and less room for teeth to grow.

According to The Telegraph, researcher Dr Teghan Lucas, from Flinders University, Australia, said our increased ability to chew our food is a key factor.

‘As our faces are getting a lot shorter there is not as much room for teeth because of smaller jaws,’ she said.

‘This is happening in time as we have learnt to use fire and process foods more. A lot of people are just being born without wisdom teeth.’"

This claim is true. Babies are increasingly being born without teeth due to a form of rapid evolution. According to the article, in the 1880s, around 10%  of babies were born without wisdom teeth, but this percent has bumped up to approximately 30% in the 20th century. Scientists predict that if this trend continues a majority of people will not have wisdom teeth.

This article states that humans are undergoing a process called "microevolution", which means that the human race are slowly evolving to their environments. As a result of cooking and processing our food, we do not need as many teeth as our ancestors. Because of this, it is true that babies are being born without wisdom teeth.

This is true. Due to microevolution, humans are "increasingly being born without wisdom teeth." This change, along with a few others, show that the human race is evolving faster now than it has in the last 250 years.

Scientists in Australia have been noticing a small evolution in human beings, specifically babies being born now, called a microevolution. This microevolution involves wisdom teeth and how they are no longer seeing some babies born with these extra teeth.

itvNews wrote an article based on the microevolution of humans as we adapt to modern life. For example, Dr. Teghan Lucas, explained how the increase in processed foods and use of fire cause adaptations in the mouth such as a shorter face and smaller jaws. This allows less room for extra teeth. The evolution of wisdom teeth is one of the many microevolutions happening in rapid time.

This claim is correct. Babies are now beginning to be born without their wisdom teeth and there are studies that provide evidence to back up this claim. Independent.co.uk writes,"Some babies are now being born without wisdom teeth... as humans undergo a 'micro-evolution', a new study suggests".

Website: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/wisdom-teeth-evolution-humans-flinders-university-processed-food-b907634.html

The article also includes that there have been studies completed in Australia that have indicated that there have been several changes in humans occurring over a short period of time.

With these studies and numerous sources we can determine that this claim is true, babies are being born without wisdom teeth.

This is true. In a study published in the Journal of Anatomy from an article by Deseret News 'Microevolution' is happening and human evolution is happening faster than ever before in the last 250 years. "Human faces have gotten shorter, our mouths have consequently become smaller — thus, less room for wisdom teeth." says Dr. Teghan Lucas, a professor at the College of Medicine and Public Health at Flinders University in Adelaide, Australia, along with University of Adelaide professors Maciej Henneberg and Dr. Jaliya Kumaratilake.

Yes, more and more babies are being born without wisdom teeth. Multiple newspaper including The Telegraph cited research published in the Journal of Anatomy which states that humans faces are becoming shorter, and our jaws less powerful, resulting in a lack of wisdom teeth in man babies.

A new study published in the Journal of Anatomy found that humans are increasingly being born without wisdom teeth. Researchers also found that the median artery in the forearm, which used to form in the womb but disappear after birth, is sticking around more often after birth.

Hi Annameck, I just wanted to say I really liked your addition of the fact on the median artery! There were so many answers to this discussion and many responses were similar but I enjoyed the additional finding that you added to your posting.
