This is simply a comment from a governor in California and his beliefs on what would happen when it comes closer to voting for the next president and their campaigns. In reality, both Trump and DeSantis have strengths and weaknesses within their campaign that they will have to try to use to their advantage and use the other's weaknesses against them. Right now, there is not a lot that is clear but as campaigns become more prominent, the candidate with a stronger campaign will reveal themself.

Great explanation. I just wanted to add that predictions cannot be fact-checked so this one is definitely "can't be true or false" and more of an opinion/prediction.
