Upon researching the claim that coffee is associated with several health benefits, I found this claim to be true, however, it is misleading. I found credible information that backed the health-beneficial claims of the website linked. While I found the information to be true, there are two main that this claim fails to address. First, it doesn't address that it's referring to just plain coffee itself. When extra sweeteners and milk are added to coffee, some of the health benefits claimed would not still apply. Second, there are also a few drawbacks of constant coffee drinking, including headaches and withdrawals (Berg). While the claim itself is true, it's misleading and should address a few other factors.

There is no denying that coffee certainly has a plethora of health benefits, and recent scientific research and case studies can back this claim up. The article "Is Drinking Coffee Healthy?", published by Dr. Donald D. Hensrud, a reputable physician at the Mayo Clinic, further supports this by showing that coffee is associated with a longer lifespan, reduced risk of stroke, gallstones, and liver disease, and even protection against metabolic syndrome. Furthermore, the National Library of medicine’s ‘Coffee Consumption and Health’ umbrella review provides even more evidence, showing that drinking three to five cups a day is linked to the greatest health benefits, including a lower risk of cardiovascular disease and all-cause mortality. I also found it interesting that the umbrella review confirmed decaffeinated coffee offers similar protective effects, meaning the benefits come from more than just caffeine. While excessive intake can lead to higher cholesterol and , a slightly increased fracture risk in some women, all three articles agree that moderate coffee consumption is largely beneficial for most people.

Surprisingly this claim is true, this article highlights the healthy benefits of coffee through 9 points. Coffee enhances alertness through caffeine, lowers the risks of type 2 diabetes, supports brain health, acts as a weight management tool, is linked to lower depression rates, and protects against liver diseases, with no more than 5 cups of coffee reduces the risk of heart diseases and strokes, increases life expectanties, and enhance alethic performances. These claims sound outrageous and ridiculous but there is sufficient proof for these claims within this article. There are over 30 articles backing up their claims and after doing some research into the company of the website, I found out they are a health wellness group. There are other websites and articles on how to improve one's health, but I don't believe a website like this is meant to spread disinformation.

https://www.fda.gov/consumers/consumer-updates/spilling-beans-how-much-caffeine-too-much#:~:text=Daily%20Caffeine%20Consumption%20for%20Most,generally%20associated%20with%20negative%20effects.

After searching for other articles on this topic I found many other articles also echoing the claim that coffee is like a superfood with many health benefits. The FDA agrees with this claim and expands on the health benefits of coffee. Coffee is rich in antioxidants like chlorogenic acids which help combat stress in the body. Stress is linked to various chronic diseases such as cardiovascular ailments and certain cancers.

Yet the FDA website exercises the importance of moderation where in theory Coffee can be a health benefit but overconsumption of Coffee can lead to sleep deprivation. The title of this claim is slightly misleading but true, as long as you limit your self to no more than 5 cups of coffee you can see health benefits in your morning dose of sunshine.
