This is true. The video traces back to footage all the way to the original source the water mark came from ('X' user @KhaledYousry22). Additionally, Snopes.com verified the authenticity of the same video. Getty Images also published a series of photos from the Kerem Shalom border crossing, dating this video happening on February 6th. Finally, Snopes.com found a video of a different POV from 'X' user @igal_malka_5G stating in Hebrew in the caption:

"The Kerem Shalom crossing was blocked for the movement of aid trucks to Hamas.

Take a good look at Gaza.

We will still dance in your ruin."

A very straight foward yet informative fact check. The information was straight forward, and many articles and posts gave good evidence that this dance was happening when aid needed to be delivered. For your next post I suggest just putting all your sources on the bottom so it is easier for your reader to find. Other then that this is a great answer.

This confirmed to be true. There are multiple videos from different sources and the location is confirmed as the Kerem Shalom Crossing. Multiple fact-checking sites have already done the work for us and discovered these videos are real. Getty Images is one of the most credible sources that have posted images from this event. There is also a Washington Post article written about this specific event. There ios a multitude of sources that have reported, captured images, and videos that prove that this undoubtedly happened.

A straight-forward but well-informed fact check. Great use of pulling information from reputable sources, like Getty Images and The Washington Post, who have already done some of the fact-checking work. Also mentioning that there are multiple videos from various sources and locations shows that it could not have been AI generated or manipulated. Great job!

This headline definitely sounds a little out there so it was interesting reading this fact check. Looking at all the sources it is clear that this fact check was well researched. Clarifying that the videos are in fact real is also a really important comment to make because of recent AI generated videos that have been circling.

This is a great fact check. You provide so much information and so many great sources. You put all the sources on the bottom so it is easy for all the readers to find. Why do you think the dancers were in the way of the aid?
by Novice (670 points)
This fact check is extensive and solidly substantiated. All readers can easily access your extensive list of trustworthy references, which is conveniently located at the foot of the article. I'm curious as to how you arrived at the conclusion that the dancers were impeding the aid.
by Novice (830 points)
Good job using your sources to come to the conclusion. With that being said, may I ask why not use the Snopes fact check? I find that they are most credible when it comes to fact-checking. Regardless, the links you provided have sufficient evidence to back the claim. Good work!

This is true. The original video, found from the watermark on the video, was posted to X with the caption, "... a group of 'civilian' settlers dance and sing ... to prevent the entry of humanitarian aid materials to Gaza." Another video of this scene at a different angle was posted to X with the caption in Hebrew, "The Kerem Shalom crossing was blocked for the movement of aid trucks to Hamas. Take a good look at Gaza. We will still dance in your ruin."

Snopes posted a fact check on this and rated it to be true. Snopes added that Getty Images released multiple images of this protest. The caption on one of the images is, "Protesters dance as they block humanitarian aid entering Gaza from Israel on February 6th, 2024 in Kerem Shalom, Israel. For several days now, Israeli settlers have blocked trucks carrying humanitarian supplies to Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip."

The Washington Post released an article delving deeper into this with interviews from protesters and organizers, "But De Bresser and his three companions are determined to keep any trucks from getting through, and they aren't bothered if innocents suffer: 'War is war,' De Bresser shrugs."

This claim is true and there are multiple sources to prove it. The video was shot by Rushdi Abu Athra and was originally shared by the Palestinian Scenes account on Facebook. Right-wing Israeli protesters were blocking the entry of humanitarian aid trucks to the Gaza strip. "Right-wing activists and relatives of hostages have been staging protests for about two weeks on roads leading to the crossings to prevent humanitarian aid from getting to Gaza." Efforts to obstruct the Kerem Shalom border crossing have been made by the protesters, aiming to stop the flow of aid into Gaza. However, these attempts have seen only partial success.
