Disney World is not removing the drinking ages in their parks. The original claim came from Mousetrap.com where they create satire content about Disney parks, the rumor seemed to have started by them and then spreader through diffrent media sources one of them being TikTok. PNJ talks about how its misinformation and how Disney requires people who want to purchase a drink to be 21+. With the information being spread it seemed like it went a bit out of hand and confused people regarding whether this is real or not.

From first glance, the claim that Disney World is removing their drinking age seems false because it is unsafe and a liability for many reasons. This source claims, "A rumor about Disney World 'officially removing drinking age' requirements is making the rounds again after MouseTrapNews.com, a satire website that writes fake news stories about Disney parks, published a story recycling the same claim it made in a TikTok video last August." There are multiple other sources saying this is false, leading me to believe the initial claim was false content.

The post came from a satire account. Other big name Disney accounts also proved the claim to be false. This also wouldn’t make sense due to lots of the Disney parks being in the US where there is a high drinking age.

Hey, I agree with your stance, however I think it would be better if you had links or sources to back up your claims. It works better for factchecking to see where we can find credible information.

This is false. The parks all require that you must be 21 years old or older to drink on their property.

Per https://plandisney.disney.go.com/question/drinking-age-park-550153/ the drinking age has not been removed, "Across the United States, the legal age to order or consume alcohol is 21, and this holds true everywhere on Walt Disney World property."

This claim is false! The website that this information was posted on is not a respected or reliable site for information. It is mainly for clicks and view rather than accurate information. Disney has also responded saying these claims are false.

This is an incorrect claim. Snopes claims that a misinformation / satire network called Mouse Trap News released a statement (found here: https://archive.ph/hi8BB#selection-825.0-825.54 ) that satirized the drinking age of the Disney parks. This article was taken out of context, and gave birth to this rumor.

This is false First of all, rather than providing real news, Mouse Trap News is a website that shares satirical content. They make it clear on their website that all of their stories are made up. Moreover, Plan Disney, Disney's official conduit for advice on resort vacations, has denied the assertion. They have attested to the fact that the legal drinking age is still 21 everywhere in the resort. The resort has strict rules that mandate that anyone under the age of 21 not consume alcohol and that anyone who wants to drink must present correct identification.

This claim is false. It is obvious upon investigation that Disney World theme park is NOT removing it's drinking age at their restaurants and bars. Multiple websites including Medium: https://medium.com/im310-sp23-social-media/drinking-age-at-disney-world-may-be-lowered-to-18-ad0d19ece20a  shows that this disinformation was spread by TikTok account @mousetrapnews on August 20, 2022.
