The outbreak of COVID-19 had a significant impact on the psychological and behavioral health of college students. However, few studies have systematically explored the relationship between COVID-19 and psychological and behavioral health among college students worldwide. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to explore the impact of COVID-19 on college students’ psychological and behavioral health using a knowledge-mapping approach. In total, 796 publications were selected and analyzed to clarify the publication volume and time distribution, core authors, major journals, research institutions, country distributions, research hotspots, and core themes. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019, studies focused on the impact of COVID-19 on college students’ psychological and behavioral health showed an increasing trend year by year.

True  There is definitely a direct correlation between the COVID-19 disease and the mental wellbeing and behavior of college students all around the world. During COVID-19 students were forced to learn from behind a computer screen rather than in person which caused a decline in personal interactions amongst students and long hours behind a computer screen (much longer than before the pandemic). There were also a rise in dramatic stressors such as financial hardships, lower sleep quality, and a big rise in stress, depression, and pre-existing anxiety. According to data from before the pandemic, these stressors have contributed to a rise in stress and anxiety.

I agree with many of the statements made but I would also argue there were other good factors that came out of the pandemic related to student success and general well being. In an article in Parents.com (https://www.parents.com/kids/health/childrens-mental-health/silver-linings-positive-effects-of-the-covid-19-pandemic-on-children/) They discuss a few of the benefits to come out of the pandemic such as better technological skills. This is a key skill in today's society and something that will prepare them for the workplace. They also discuss how isolation caused an increase in self-sufficiency and problem solving skills. Another skill that will serve them well in this day and age. Clearly while the pandemic had many downsides it didn't come without it's perseverances and mini victories.
