This claim is false. According to Mayo Clinic, "experts have defined long COVID as a long-lasting, called chronic, condition triggered by the virus that causes COVID-19." Scientists and medical experts agree that the impacts of COVID-19 can remain within patients long after contracting the disease. Additionally, the symptoms of long COVID do not necessarily appear once a patient has 'recovered' and instead can become apparent "weeks or months" afterwards.
Additionally, a study from Arizona University and Oxford found that not only was long COVID real, but patients who were vaccinated for COVID-19 had a significantly reduced chance of experiencing symptoms of long COVID.
This Bluesky user who posted this initial claim stating the 'false narrative' of long COVID has also posted content discounting the severity of the January 6th attack against the US capitol building as well as dismissing president-elect Donald Trump's bigoted, sexist, and racist comments in the past. Additionally, the user follows many accounts with clear right wing biases. Together these factors point towards the uncredible nature of the user's post as the spread of false information diminishes the validity of their claims. People in Trump's circle including RFK Jr., Roseanne Barr, Alex Jones and many others have attacked the COVID vaccine on unproven and unscientific grounds, further leading to this particular post being false and misleading.
