There’s no such thing as long Covid. It’s more psychotic nonsense to scare people.

Hello, you are wrong! according to the Center of Disease Control (CDC) 'Long COVID occurs more often in people who had severe COVID-19 illness, but anyone who gets COVID-19 can experience it, including children.' It seems your claim has no evidence to back it up just purely your uneducated option. Feel free to read these helpful tips given by the CCD to educate yourself!

This claim is false. According to Mayo Clinic, "experts have defined long COVID as a long-lasting, called chronic, condition triggered by the virus that causes COVID-19." Scientists and medical experts agree that the impacts of COVID-19 can remain within patients long after contracting the disease. Additionally, the symptoms of long COVID do not necessarily appear once a patient has 'recovered' and instead can become apparent "weeks or months" afterwards.

Additionally, a study from Arizona University and Oxford found that not only was long COVID real, but patients who were vaccinated for COVID-19 had a significantly reduced chance of experiencing symptoms of long COVID.

This Bluesky user who posted this initial claim stating the 'false narrative' of long COVID has also posted content discounting the severity of the January 6th attack against the US capitol building as well as dismissing president-elect Donald Trump's bigoted, sexist, and racist comments in the past. Additionally, the user follows many accounts with clear right wing biases. Together these factors point towards the uncredible nature of the user's post as the spread of false information diminishes the validity of their claims. People in Trump's circle including RFK Jr., Roseanne Barr, Alex Jones and many others have attacked the COVID vaccine on unproven and unscientific grounds, further leading to this particular post being false and misleading.

Good use of finding links to the source and mayoclinic! The breakdown on those topics were very helpful too. It does seem to be a claim based in political opinion.

You did a really nice job at effectively providing credible sources and scientific studies to back up the claim that long COVID is real and that vaccination reduces its risk, strengthening the overall argument.

This was a fantastic fact-check. You accurately cited multiple medical organizations that have proven that long-covid is a real thing instead of citing other journals or news websites. I also really like how you called out how the user who posted the claim has a past of right-wing bias and a history of making baseless claims. Well done!

While there's much evidence pointing towards the fact that long COVID does exist -

You also got this information from Blue Sky, a Twitter equivalent social media site, that's prone to the same amount of misinformation as any other social media.

Thanks for finding source links. Also, it would be great to elaborate on your findings and put together a thorough fact-check with lots of supporting proof or information to support it.

Both of your sources backing up your claims look very trustworthy, but I wish you had elaborated on them more. Bringing in some quotes or facts from these sources would elevate your claim and the legitimacy of it.
