Disney settled a 2019 lawsuit filed by LaRonda Rasmussen, who claimed that six men with the same job title were paid immensely more than her with 9,000 more women eventually joining the lawsuit. The plaintiffs mentioned an "enterprise-wide compensation policy" that fundamentally includes gender wage gaps. There was also a finding through a labor economist that female employees had a pay penalty of 2.01%, yet Disney disputed the claims. After paying the initial $43 million, a part of the settlement requires Disney to hire a labor economist to analyze pay equity, non-union California employees, and fix the differences.

This claim is true. Looking at the subject itself, with enough effort, major court cases like this can be found online and original source documents related to the case and the trial can be read through to verify this information. This is true to this case as we see the settlement agreement that is reported on here: https://www.cohenmilstein.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Settlement-Agreement-Rasmussen-v-Disney-11252024.pdf

Looking at the media outlets reporting this as well, with a particular focus on CNN, we can check up on this source and see how credible it is and if it has any bias in regards to any sort of opinion. Using mediabiasfactcheck.com, we see that CNN is highly credible, with a little lean to the left, but also, noted to report "mostly factual" information, which is not too much of a cause for alarm.

This is true. If you look at just the sources alone, CNN is a trusted source that has been around for many years and has proven to lack bias and is known to report truths. This also has been checked against other sources like the other article you linked, and the same information is being reported on. This is true and not fake news.
