Breakfast is not a scam because it provides a number of benefits to the body:

Provides energy: Breakfast is the first meal of the day and provides the body with the necessary nutrients to start the day with energy. Skipping breakfast can cause fatigue and lethargy, and can lead to poor performance at work or school.
Improves metabolism: Eating breakfast can help boost the metabolism, which is the rate at which the body burns calories. This can help with weight management and prevent overeating later in the day.
Improves cognitive function: Breakfast provides the brain with glucose, which is essential for cognitive function. Studies have shown that eating breakfast can improve memory, attention, and concentration.
Prevents overeating: Skipping breakfast can lead to overeating later in the day, which can cause weight gain and other health problems.
Helps with nutrient intake: Breakfast is an opportunity to consume important nutrients such as fiber, vitamins, and minerals, which can help maintain good health.
Overall, breakfast is an important meal that should not be skipped, as it provides the body with necessary nutrients and energy to start the day.

Breakfast is not a scam. While it's true that popular brands advertised breakfast and made money off of it, this aligns with how breakfast used to be advertised as a light healthy meal to start your day. In turn, those cereal breakfasts started to contain all of the vitamins needed and were now advertised as a quick way to feed the children when the women were entering the workforce. Now, eggs and bacon have become a popular breakfast as they had deemed it more nutritious according to a petition signed by doctors. Now that breakfast has been backed by doctors, it has made its way into everyday life.

Breakfast can be hard to eat for some, but can be overcame with the sheer fact that after sleeping for many hours our bodies are nutrient deprived. To get our bodies up and running, we must begin by fueling it with some nutrients. Whether that be carbs, proteins, vegatables/fruits, etc. This is due to low glycogen levels after depleting the source overnight. In order to increase these levels to give you energy, glucose must be taken into the body in some form.

This is false. It is proven that breakfast is a beneficial way to start your day. According to Better Health Channel, "Breakfast is often called ‘the most important meal of the day’, and for good reason. As the name suggests, breakfast breaks the overnight fasting period. It replenishes your supply of glucose to boost your energy levels and alertness, while also providing other essential nutrients required for good health."

It is essential to break your fast first thing in the morning, so breakfast is not a scam.

Actually, skipping breakfast can have several negative health affects. For example, cortisol, or stress hormone levels are highest in the morning, which is why it is important to eat something to avoid feeling anxious and jittery. In addition to this, it can cause you to have low energy in the morning and then crave sugary foods at lunch or,  you could end up overeating later in the day because you are too hungry to eat mindfully. If you are not hungry in the morning, it may be best to have something small at the very least. https://www.futurefit.co.uk/blog/the-nutritional-effects-of-skipping-breakfast/
