The two rappers had circled one another for more than a decade, but their attacks turned relentless and very personal in a slew of tracks released over the weekend.

This was a really good news to bring back. Specially, it’s been a couple months since people been talking about it. I found that you are 100% right. Specially when the Drake versus Kendrick Lamar what’s going on. All you would see and hear about is who do you vote for.

Although I agree with you and your statement that this was a significant cultural event, I do feel as if to say that the articles claim that it was the "best" example of this event, is an opinion. I also feel as if you possibly should have explained a bit more about the source you found. Overall though, I liked your reasoning and this was a good fact check.

The actual best rap, most entertaining, juiciest rap beef in history is the one between Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj. This is a title single-handedly achieved by the line "these **'s don't be mad at Megan, these **'s mad at Megan's Law" from Hiss, by Megan Thee Stallion. This line sent Nicki Minaj on a rampage on Instagram Live and Twitter. Unlike Kendrick and Drake, this beef went far beyond the music.

While the Kendrick Lamar vs Drake beef was a very captivating and exciting rap beef it is impossible to objectively measure a beef as the "best in history". Other notable rap beefs such as Pusha T-Drake, Jay Z-Nas, 50 Cent-Ja Rule and Tupuc-Biggie, have all had huge and lasting impacts on the rap genre and landscape as a whole. Which beef is the "best" comes down to personal taste and experiences.

This fact-check is well done in proving that this question is opinion-based and cannot be fact-checked. This response is also well done because it points out some of the other opinions that people may have.

This is a good fact-check when bringing it back to the central idea of how it is based on opinion rather than facts. If this article were to compare the amount of press covering different "rap beefs" between generations as well as chartings of artists I believe they could assess what beef was "the best in history".

This claim can not be true or false because it is an opinion. However, the article they linked in their claim could be used to justify their opinion. The author of the article from the New York Times, Joe Coscarelli, has written numerous cultural articles on music for the New York Times, which has a high credible rating.

In terms of the article's content, the article goes through the timeline of the beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake.  I found an additional article from Billboard (a website dedicated to music) that was similar to the original article. However back to the original claim I found from other sources such as The Root, and Complex which both cover specifically hip hop lists of other notable rap beefs.

To wrap things up, the claim can neither be true nor false because it is an opinion.

Hi there! While this is a really fun and exciting claim to make, I don't think it can possibly be true or false due to the fact that we cannot measure one rap beef versus another. Think quantitative versus qualitative data (National Health Institute link). When looking up other beefs between rappers from the past, it is a similar case that these are just an opinion. In addition, using the NY Times as a source to back this claim up supports what I previously said as it's really just an opinion based claim. However when doing some research, I did find someone who used an  H-R diagram that is traditionally used to measure and map stars and use it in a similar fashion to measure rap beefs importance. This could be really interesting to look at!!
