Biologically speaking, a trans woman is a man. However, gender identity is different from biological sex, and a trans woman's gender is female, not male. Because the claim is not entirely clear, this can be rated as opinion/ can't be true or false.

I thought that your first source was very resourceful, my first acknowledgment once I opened the document was that, this came from a legit source with meaningful information. They gave multiple examples on why trans woman aren’t considered to be men.

I agree, you may have an opinion about trans women but you can not make such a broad statement and claim it as a fact.

This statement can be seen as a very interesting top nowadays as changing your gender is more of a new topic that is rising daily. Everyones opinion is different in your case you chose to include the idea of gender identity claiming that one cant be male after transitioning. I am wondering why you chose this approach as it may be misinterpreted by many others.

I think bringing in biological sex vs. gender identity was a very good way of handling this sensitive topic.

My first reaction to this fact-check is that it was backed by credible sources that speak directly to the topic at hand. The topic at hand is a controversial one that is very opinion heavy which could lead to claims like the one above. The claim above is also not well backed and is a very broad statement.

I agree with this answer mostly but the statement that a trans woman is a man is technically true because it is a fact. Although they may choose to be known as the other it doesn't change that part.

I agree with this answer and the first source was very good. Biologically a trans women is not a man but they can identify as a man. There is a big difference between the two and you can't just magically switch.

I agree, Being transgender means you're biological gender does not match the one you identify with but you can't broadly coin them as "men" or "women" due to the fact their gender identity and biological sex are two different things.

This is very helpful because you may have your opinions are matters such as these, but you cannot deny the facts and the evidence that you clearly provided.

I absolutely agree with you, and I thought that the way you answered the fact check was very straight forward and easy to understand. I agree that the concept of biological sex and gender all depends on context. Yes a transgender male's biological sex could be female, but that does not mean that they aren't a male. Gender and sex are based off of to completely different concepts.

This perspective helped me with the claim, especially with the information provided, but I do believe even with the amount of sources provided it may still stand as opinions and perspectives and cannot be proven or determined by this new upbringing to the situation.

This is a great way to think about it. I do believe that people forget to differentiate biological sex and gender identity. However, this is something that is up for interpretation from people but cannot be true or false.

I agree. Gender identity is complex and cannot be easily described. When we consider gender, it is important to respect their feelings. However, gender at least should be differentiated into physical and psychological aspects as you do, not to confuse them too much.

This is a good answer to the claim because you bring in a scientific fact without denying that people can identify as what they want. However I think that you could argue that the claim is true through a science point of view because biological facts are different than one’s personal identity.

This took the words right out of my mouth in a very simplified, fact-based manner, using biological facts about the difference between biological sex and gender. You also point out that because the claim is not very clear, it is an opinion rather than something proven to be true or false.

This response created a clearer answer towards a very controversial and complex topic. The links you provided also added a scientific perspective as well.

I think your explanation did a good job of staying true to journalist perspectives about the topic and understanding that opinion bias is a big part of this. The sources you provided are helpful but maybe I would acknowledge how/if they are reliable sources.

This is, unfortunately, a highly debated topic and sensitive to some. But I think you used science and fact about gender identity versus biological sex very well! It was concise and a professional answer. The use of more than one source was also a benefit to the argument. Pointing out that the claim is not entirely clear helped keep the answer quick and to the point. Wonderful job!
