People who are single are happier because they are living their most authentic lives without having to worry about someone else.

I totally agree with you. The article definitely seems to lack solid evidence, and it only focuses on specific perspectives instead of considering broader groups and using those responses as a foundation. It’s still an interesting topic that makes you think, though!

While the idea of living your "most authentic life" sounds appealing, the claim overlooks the nuance in the original study. The research didn’t prove that being single makes people happier, just that some single people report being happy. Consider looking at the sources hyperlinked in the article or sources that explore happiness in both single and partnered people for a broader perspective.

Being single can make some people happier because it gives them freedom and independence. Others might feel lonely without a partner. Overall, happiness depends on personal preferences and life circumstances. People in good relationships tend to be happy, but only if the relationship is healthy. It’s really about what works best for each person.

I totally agree with your point. Contentment with being single varies from person to person, and there's no concrete evidence that everyone or the majority of people are happier not being in a relationship. Plus, the article didn't prove that single people are happier, just that some single people are happy. It depends on a variety of factors.

As I'm reading this article it is lacking evidence and it really is talking about the way of being single is and the type of feelings you are going to have but not really referring to the pros and cons of being in a relationship .That saying that single is happier are living their most authentic lives without to worry about someone else is a big understandment of how in the BuzzFeed the other perspectives didn’t. In this article psychology today of will you be happier single or in a relationship i like as it gives in both perspectives and it really does depend on who you are in a person

This article centers around a claim that is difficult to measure through quantitative, statistic data that can prove the levels of happiness and if they are caused statistically on relationships. Additionally, while happiness is subjective, it's a topic that seemingly varies from person to person. Buzzfeed is less known for being a credible news source and more so for their games, quizzes, and "attention grabbing" headlines that can grab readers' eyes and attention for clicks and views.
Another article I found from a more credible topic, has a similar headline to grab attention, but poses it in a question format so readers must read to find the answer and prevent them from spreading quick fake news. As the article goes on, it eventually states that "There's actually not a lot of difference between the kinds of people who are happy single, and the kinds of people who are happy in relationships".

The takeaway from this article is that happiness linked to relationships is not necessarily due to being in a relationship itself, but rather the attitudes and beliefs individuals hold about relationships. Ultimately, the connection between happiness and relationship status is complex and doesn’t offer a one-size-fits-all answer. The key factor in determining relationship-based happiness seems to be less about whether or not you are in a relationship, and more about your approach to it and how you view it.
