After winning the FIFA World Cup, Messi seals legacy as greatest soccer player of all time.

Although this article has supporting claims that he is indeed an amazing soccer player it still feels somewhat misleading. This article goes over both players Ronaldo and Messi and compares and contrasts which one of the players is actually the best of all time. The title of the “best player of all time” also seems misleading, considering the capability of change and evolution in the game of soccer. “Many could argue the greatest of all time” has a time limit until the next best.

This includes statistics which are factual but in the article their is a clear subjective stance that argues that Messi's the greatest soccer player of all time. in the article there are quotes like "Messi’s superiority on a soccer pitch was there for all to see," and "there has clearly never been a player like Messi". these reflect the authors personal judgement rather than a purely objective analysis.

I agree that this is a very subjective fact and that while there are statistics to back up this as a fact it is better left as a personal opinion. The article also uses the word legacy which can be indicative that he is great from a play and statistics view it can't be scientifically proven and it's subjective so we can't call it true or false.

You make an excellent point. Many people may disagree with the claim of Messi being the "greatest of all time" due to their own preferences for players.  It's also essential to recognize that such statements, though backed by statistics, are inherently biased. While they may resonate with fans or those who admire Messi, they don't offer an objective analysis of his place in history relative to other legendary players.

I agree that the statistics do help to further their argument, but for sports that are measured by multiple players on the field at the same time doing different things its hard to definitively pick one as the best.

I agree with your comment and factchecking that the author of this article is clearly showing favoritism with picking Messi as the best ever. I also appreciate how you did agree with him on the stats.

Overall, the article is comparing the two soccer players Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. They highlight several key points comparing different awards, like recent World Cup victories, and compare various statistics. Although this article does have correct evidence, this claim is completely subjective. Being "The Best" can be ranked differently from person to person. Someone could rank Messi based on his playing style, or they might just overall like him better as a person. This article makes some strong points but is overall too subjective to make a claim like this.

I agree. However, this article has some clear and persuasive points but this question can never be answered as it is more of an opinion than a claim that can be true or false, due to this being an opinion the title could also be seen as misleading.
